ANGER AND FORGIVENESS

Anger is the brain behind very contention or strife. Strife is a spiritual disease that destroys a long existing cordial relationship. It is capable of breaking up marriages and in sighting people against each other.

It operates behind the scene of every Church conflicts and crises in all of its ramifications and relegates forgiveness out of operation; it brings about breakdown of law and order in the society.

Forgiveness at the face of any form of confrontation or insolence is not easy to practice. Forgiveness is one of the sweetest virtues anyone can possess; though it is not easy to practice at the face of divergence and any form of confrontation because of selfishness and egoistic tendencies in man that have its expression in unforgiveness and retaliation.

But I have discovered that the greatest antidote and healing solution to conflicts and commotion is forgiveness. If mankind can be liberal with forgiveness, it will make room for peaceful co-existence in families, the Church and the society.

It is not possible for conflict to be totally eradicated but it can be greatly minimized if we can be well informed about the negative and the positive sides thereof.
