On Oct. 24, 08 someone (a young man) came to the school where my granddaughter is enrolled in kindergarden. The man knew her name, what class she was in, her teacher etc. He told the school office person he wanted to 'withdraw' her (my granddaughter) from school. This man pretened to make a phone call to my daughter (when he was tolded she would have to be present) and then turned and left the school grounds. We do not know who this person was nor what his intentions were. Neither does the school. The school officials seem to want to play down the issue. The school did not ask for an ID, they did not contact the resource officer (even though she smelled booze on this person). What were they thinking?! Any way, we thank the Lord for his protection, but please pray that we can find out who this person was etc. Also pray the the officials will take this seriously. A report has been filed with the local police, but the school has no security cameras and the office person gave a only sketchy description of what he looked like.
Thanks for your prayers
Andy
Praying for you guys.
I AM PRAYING THE LORD WILL CONTINUE 2 KEEP U AND YOUR FAMILY UNDER HIS WATCHFUL EYE AND PROTECTION. I PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL SHIELD YOUR GRANDCHILD FROM THE WICKED DEVICES OF THE ENEMY. I AM PRAYING FOR THAT MAN THAT SHOWED UP THAT HE WILL BE LEAD TO THE LORD THROUGH GOD'S CHOSEN PROCESS 4 HIS LIFE. PLEASE BE ENCOURAGED AND KNOW THAT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE BEING PRAYED FOR. YOUR BROTHER IN CHRIST, GOLDE.
I pray they do take this seriously. I had an experience that while not dissimilar showed we do need our kids watched like hawks. A church contact where we had Bible Study actually took my daughter in her push chair many years ago. She did not go far, but I remember turning round, realising she was gone and the scream I let out in the market square. This person actually in their befuddled brain wanted to show me how easy it was to take a child! I also know someone whose relative has had a child taken. It happens and judging by amw.com more so in the US than here. The mistake I used to make is thinking 'God will protect rather than realising there is a spiritual battle.
Myself, I am not sure a child should be in a place these days with no security and staff who want to play things down like not asking for identity. That is insane. Here you can only release a child to the parent or those named on the correct form - not even to the other parent unless permission is given in Nursery ( though I think your kindergarten is older than nursery? )
Praying.
When I am old and grey I will still be dancing. The only reason the young don't dance with joy before the Lord is because nobody ever showed them they could.
