Through no fault of my own and the lies of a plumber who claims I asked him to lie (I certainly did not!) the landlord now refuses to renew my tennancy.
The agents have been very upsetting and rude today. The thing is I did say I did not want to renew the tennancy till I had assurance of some things done - there is a fence that blew down in a storm that has been unrepaired for weeks. I waited about three weeks for a fridge when it broke, there is no latch on the gate and a drawer is out and has been since I moved in two years ago. In addition to which several paving stones are really dangerous in the front garden. Somehow they twisted all this into a drama about the boiler and have basically given me notice to quit with no time and no money for a deposit. My credit is terrible and I need a reference .......,,.aaaaaugh need God to step in. The agents will not give me the number or email of the landlord and I don't have it so I can talk to him directly. I can't just find somewhere else a t the drop of a hat!
The neighbourhood is ideal for me and I was just getting on my feet............prayer please.....
When I am old and grey I will still be dancing. The only reason the young don't dance with joy before the Lord is because nobody ever showed them they could.

I am so grateful for everyone's prayers. Here is the update.
I went to see a lawyer who negotiated with the landlord's agents. They backed down but put some conditions on the tennancy which are very unfair - no meters for gas or electricity and I pay the bill of the plumber who said I asked him to lie (Ouch). However this does not mean the contract will be renewed as all this is still subject to the landlord agreeing.
I am pretty sick at having to pay the plumbers bill, and not sure the gas people will agree to put the gas off a meter as there is a lot of money outstanding ( they didn't send a bill for a year and so I ended up with a meter trying to pay them the outstanding amount as I was living on a shoestring.)
However, the lawyer advised just agreeing to their terms so I have....anyway God is on MY side and sooner or later the boiler will do the same thing it always does and at that point they will have to say 'oh dear she was not lying at all!' God is on MY side not theirs and the devil always was a liar nespecially about the righteous!
So the landlord's agreement is what I now need prayer for. Preferably today.
Otherwise I have 28 days and no deposit to find a new house.
However...let me tell you the other part of this ......
I got stressed and didn't sleep. I know enough that when people tell you you are talking too fast you are stressed. One neighbour asked me over to breakfast. She is a fellow Christian. I just expected toast but she went to town on it......so great to have a friend to listen and as she is like a minister in another church it is easier to tell her stuff....then......went to town and did the lawyer stuff. Another neighbour rang. This lady is a good friend, not a Christian, but a believer, and I do things like feed her cat. She often does ring and ask me round late at night for a drink. I went......she'd bought wine (OK I had a glass!) she just wanted to bless me because she thought it was so awful what was happening to me. BUT she then said.....'can I give you £400! (I nearly fell off the chair.) Actually the benefit system makes that difficult, but she is now going to back my writing ministry......which is all expressly Christian.........................................
So if the plumbing situation had not happened...........God.is ..................
Um........puzzling, mysityfying, unfathomable, GOOD!

It's amazing how God works things out for believers of him. I have been giving this word for the year, "Stand!" No matter what comes my way, just stand, I'm standing on the promises of God my savior. So I say to you, to "stand" on God's promises. If you ask anything in his name he'll work it our for the good that love the Lord according to "his" purpose.
my last thing I will say to you, is in all things give him the praise1 So start to Praise God everyday, every hour, every minute until you feel it way down on the inside!!!!

Here is an update....thank you for your prayers! I got an email from the landlord's agent asking how I was getting on changing the gas and electricity meters from prepayment to ordinary payment. No problem with this though legally I should have the choice, because I wanted to do it anyway - just wasn't planning on having to pay the gas bill now. HOWEVER I have no indication from the agent in any form I can stay! I don't quite know if I am being taken for a ride or not -in addition to which they are sending someone to put right the appalling state (literally someone may break their neck,) of the paving stones in the front garden and to mend a fence which my neighbour who is planning to sell ,fixed yesterday. I am nervous they will then claim I called out the repair people for that when there was no need BUT I am not stupid enough not to have taken photos! So now I am waiting to see what God will do, praising and praying and believing something good has to cone of it all but with still, no reassurance of a roof over my head!
