  • New book targets Atheism

Isn't it about time that Christians address atheism in our culture? We sometimes do it in a reactionary sort of way, but shouldn't we be addressing it in a reasonable way? I think we need more texts like this and more targetted resources. Working in the secular world as well as in the church...

  • Re: On Campaign Trail, Democrats Put Their Faith in Book of James

Whether democrat or republican or independant or other, I tend to take faith-talk from poiliticians with an entire salt mine. Even if they personally have a real and vital faith life, that doesn't mean that their interpretation of what that means politically has any Biblical validity, theological...

  • Religious Organizations Least Likely to Disband

Religious congregations in the United States have a "mortality rate" of 1 percent, which is the lowest among other organizations, according to a newly published study. About 10 out of every 1,000 religious congregations disband each year, sociologists at the University of Arizona and Duke University...

  • Atheists plan ad campaign on side of London buses

London buses have God on their side — but not for long, if atheists have their way. The sides of some of London's red buses will soon carry ads asserting there is "probably no God," as nonbelievers fight what they say is the preferential treatment given to religion in British society...

  • Re: Rick Warren disavows support for Prop. 8

Same Sex Relationships, moral or immoral. What is God's View? First of all let’s begin by saying this is not intended to be an attack against same sex oriented people on my part. This merely points out how God feels about same sex oriented people. This is not my words by Gods word. Let the...

  • Re: Ban on a type of prayer in school allowed to stand

If we follow the guidelines set forth by the consitution in section 9524 of the ESEA act of 1965, as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 in act of Civil Disobedience could be as simple as asking, in the classroom, "for a moment of silence to find guidance." Granted I would rather...

  • Re: Invocation for Barack Obama...

This is going to anger a lot of people, both conservative and liberal... AND I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY THAT MAKES ME! As someone who WAY too often finds himself on the "wrong" side of an issue with whoever I'm talking to (liberal or conservative), I'm thrilled to think that we...
