  • Re: Persecution in India, Christians Attacked

I've just come back from India. There has always been opposition to the gospel, but this has caught nationwide attention in India itself. There have been a number of rallies where Christians have prayed and expressed support for their distressed brothers and sisters. What I find alarming is tha the...

  • Re: Persecution in India, Christians Attacked

Information that I am getting out of India is that this persecution is spreading. In individual cases it is being incited by local Hindus but mainly it is coming from outside. This does seem to be a planned scheme aiming at influencing the outcome of next year's general election. Orrissa is a backward...

  • Re: Rick Warren disavows support for Prop. 8

Mmitchell, What America has done in some places is for SURE chilling. But there are also some very heroic things we’ve done that must be highly praised. We should not forget them. • Re: Ban on a type of prayer in school allowed to stand

If we follow the guidelines set forth by the consitution in section 9524 of the ESEA act of 1965, as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 in act of Civil Disobedience could be as simple as asking, in the classroom, "for a moment of silence to find guidance." Granted I would rather...

  • China reaches out to house churches; raids, arrests continue

In recent months Chinese officials have attempted to build bridges with the Protestant house church movement even as police raided more unregistered congregations, arrested Christian leaders and forced at least 400 college students to swear they would stop attending such worship services.

  • Re: Rick Warren takes on his critics

What troubled me was when ps. Rick Warren said the inauguration prayer for the then newly elected president Barack Obama early this year. Not only was Rick getting flamed by the gay rights & pro-choice movements, he was also flamed by certain Christian groups. I thought that was unhelpful. The Bible...
