  • Re: Obama and McCain to appear togethr at Saddleback Church

I think it's great - Let them say what they want to say. In the context of a church they'll both say things in ways that may be very revealing. You'll know what's important to them by what they choose to bring up and you'll know what they're afraid to talk about by what they avoid...

  • Your freedom to speak Biblical truth

Every election season, various groups try to intimidate churches and pastors to be silent on the great social and moral issues of our time. But churches and pastors have a God-given right—protected by our Constitution—to speak to the issues of our day and to be, as Scripture commands, the...

  • Re: Fallout from Lakeland

I've been around in vocational/pastoral ministry long enough to have seen these sorts of things again and again - preachers and leaders become celebrities, get people all excited, and then pull people off to the edge or over the edge of the Gospel. My current congregation is pretty well grounded...

  • Re: Rick Warren disavows support for Prop. 8

Same Sex Relationships, moral or immoral. What is God's View? First of all let’s begin by saying this is not intended to be an attack against same sex oriented people on my part. This merely points out how God feels about same sex oriented people. This is not my words by Gods word. Let the...

  • Rick Warren disavows support for Prop. 8

California mega-church pastor and author of The Purpose Driven Life Rick Warren says he apologized to his homosexual friends for making comments in support of California's Proposition 8, and now claims he "never once even gave an endorsement" of the marriage amendment. Monday night on CNN's...

  • Re: Ban on a type of prayer in school allowed to stand

If we follow the guidelines set forth by the consitution in section 9524 of the ESEA act of 1965, as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 in act of Civil Disobedience could be as simple as asking, in the classroom, "for a moment of silence to find guidance." Granted I would rather...
