Pastors.com Covenant

This site is for pastors and Christian leaders who are striving to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission ( Matthew 22 & 28) through the local church. To make use of Pastors.com and join in the fellowship and collaboration, we ask that you agree with the statement below.

I affirm the essentials of classic Christianity such as the authority and inspiration of the Bible, the Trinitarian nature of God, and the  sufficiency of Christ for salvation.  Further, I commit myself to the work of the local church and in taking Christ’s message of faith, hope and love to a world that is lost without Him.

Pastors.com Terms

This Agreement sets out the legally binding terms of your use of the Pastors.com website and your membership in the Service. These terms are designed to protect Pastors.com members and churches. To help maintain a safe, productive, and fun environment at Pastors.com, you must agree to the following terms of service

You may terminate your membership at any time for any reason by sending an email to support@pastors.com.

You hereby certify to Pastors.com that you are at least 18 years old. Pastors.com is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. Children under 18 are not permitted to join Pastors.com or participate in the Pastors.com community, and Pastors.com will remove accounts held by people it learns are under the age of 18. Parents of children under 18 can also delete their child’s profile by Pastors.com.

You agree not to use the account, username, or password of another Member at any time or to disclose your password to any third party.

You agree to notify Pastors.com immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or access to your password. You are solely responsible for any and all use of your account.

The services of Pastors.com are for the personal use of members and churches only and may not be used in conjunction with any commercial endeavors. Illegal and/or unauthorized use of the services, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses, church data, and information of members by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email. Appropriate legal action will be taken, including without limitation, civil, criminal, and injunctive redress for violations.

Any spamming or unsolicited messaging of the Pastors.com members will result in removal of your account along with appropriate legal action against the offending party.

Creating multiple accounts under the same identity is not allowed.

You may not upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships, or any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party;

You are solely responsible for the Content that you post on or through any of the Services, and any material or information that you transmit to other Members and for your interactions with other Users. Content is not necessarily reviewed by Pastors.com prior to posting and does not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of Pastors.com. Pastors.com makes no warranties, express or implied, as to the Content or to the accuracy and reliability of the Content or any material or information that you transmit to other Members. The Pastors.com Administrative staff may, at any time however, edit profiles, groups, discussions, blogs, comments, or events to remove content deemed inappropriate.

You may not upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; Lewd pictures or severely obscene language will not be tolerated. All foul language, any form of harrassing, or hate speech must be eliminated from private and public messages. Any posting, comment, picture, or content of any kind that is blatantly and disrespectfully anti-God will be removed and the users' account may be warned, suspended, or removed and banned.

Promoting beliefs through the use of aggressive, abusive, disrespectful, slanderous, or harrassing words or content will not be tolerated. If you are found to be engaging in such communication your account will be removed and banned.

You may not solicit personal information from anyone under 18.

Pastors.com does not claim any ownership rights in the text, files, images, photos, video, audio, musical works, works of authorship, or any other materials (collectively, "Content") that you post to the Pastors.com Services. After posting your Content to the Pastors.com Services, you continue to retain all ownership rights in such Content, and you continue to have the right to use your Content in any way you choose. By displaying or publishing ("posting") any Content on or through the Pastors.com Services, you hereby grant to Pastors.com a limited license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content through the Pastors.com Services.

The license you grant to Pastors.com is non-exclusive (meaning you are free to license your Content to anyone else in addition to Pastors.com), fully-paid and royalty-free (meaning that Pastors.com is not required to pay you for the use on the Pastors.com Services of the Content that you post), sublicensable, and worldwide. This license will terminate at the time you remove your Content from the Pastors.com Services.

The Pastors.com Services contain Content of Users and other Pastors.com licensors. Except for Content posted by you, you may not copy, modify, translate, publish, broadcast, transmit, distribute, perform, display, or sell any Content appearing on or through the Pastors.com Services without the expressed and written consent of the Content owner.

Your profile must describe you, an individual person. Examples of inappropriate profiles include, but are not limited to, profiles that purport to represent an animal, place, inanimate object, fictional character, or real individual who is not you. By posting Content to any public area of Pastors.com, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Pastors.com an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display, and distribute such information and content and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such information and content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing. You may not post content that displays pornographic or sexually explicit material of any kind.

Disclaimers. Pastors.com is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate Content posted on the Web site or in connection with the Service, whether caused by users of the Web site, Members or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Service. Pastors.com is not responsible for the conduct, whether online or offline, of any user of the Web site or Member of the Service. Pastors.com assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or Member communications. Pastors.com is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to users and/or Members or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in connection with the Web and/or in connection with the Service. Under no circumstances will Pastors.com be responsible for any loss or damage, including personal injury or death, resulting from anyone's use of the Web site or the Service, any Content posted on the Web site or transmitted to Members, or any interactions between users of the Web site, whether online or offline. The Web site and the Service are provided "AS-IS" and Pastors.com expressly disclaims any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Pastors.com cannot guarantee and does not promise any specific results from use of the Web site and/or the Service. The service may be temporarily unavailable from time to time for maintenance or other reasons.

Limitation on Liability. Except in jurisdictions where such provisions are restricted, in no event will Pastors.com be liable to you or any third person for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages, including also lost profits arising from your use of the Web site or the Service, even if Pastors.com has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, Pastors.com’s  liability to you for any cause whatsoever, and regardless of the form of the action, will at all times be limited to the amount paid, if any, by you to Pastors.com for the Service during the term of membership.

About Pastors.com

Pastors.com is an online service that allows our members to set up unique personal profiles that can be linked together through networks of friends. Pastors.com members can view each others' profiles, communicate with old friends and meet new friends on the service, share photos, post blogs and comments, and describe their interests. To enrich our members' experience, we request and display some personal information to other members and visitors, which allows our users to identify each other and expand their network of friends. Pastors.com members can change their profile information at any time and can control how other members and the service communicates with them.

Information Collection and Use by Pastors.com

Pastors.com collects user submitted information such as name, email address, and age to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to the Pastors.com service. Pastors.com also collects other profile data including but not limited to: personal interests, gender, age, education and church role in order to assist users in finding and communicating with each other.

As a matter of policy, except where you are expressly informed otherwise, we do not sell, rent, share, trade or give away any of your personal information unless required by law or for the protection of your membership. However, Pastors.com may share profile information and aggregate usage information in a non-personally identifiable manner to third parties in the future in order to present to members targeted advertising, products and services. In such situations we will never disclose information that will be used to personally identify you.

User Profile information including members' pictures and first names are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction in the Pastors.com social networking community. Email addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join Pastors.com, to add users to members' friends' networks, and to send notifications related to the service. With the exception of inviting friends, adding friends, and notifications, a user's email address is not shared or displayed to people within a user's personal network Users within a personal network communicate on Pastors.com with each other through the Pastors.com service, without disclosing their email addresses. Users' full names are never directly revealed to other members unless explicitly set in your profile. (By default this is disabled). To facilitate searching and finding friends and acquaintances on the service, Pastors.com allows users to search for other members using first and last name, email address, and schools/churches and/or companies where users may have attended or worked.

Invitations to non-members

Pastors.com members can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated invitation system. Pastors.com does NOT store the member’s login information to any of the 3rd party email clients or social networks available through our automated invitation system.

Pastors.com stores the email addresses that members provide so that the respondents may be added to the friend's list of the member sending the invitations, and also to send a reminder of the invitations. Pastors.com does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations. Recipients of invitations from Pastors.com may contact Pastors.com to request the removal of their information from our database.

Use of Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Cookies are used to manage sessions on our site. We do not and will not use cookies to collect private information from any user which they did not intentionally submit to us.

Email preference

Members who no longer wish to receive updates or notifications may choose not to by disabling notification emails in the user profile 'Account Settings'.

Changes in our Privacy Policy

From time to time we may make changes to our privacy policy If we make changes, we will post them on our site to make users aware of what the changes are so users will always be aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and when we may disclose it. A User is bound by any minor changes to the policy when she or he uses the site after those changes have been posted. If, however, we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify by posting a notice on our Web site for 30 days

Privacy Tips

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post public information Blogs, discussions, Sharing or any other Public Forums that that information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by those people to send you unsolicited communications. Please report unsolicited communications to abuse@Pastors.com
