The good news: local presbyters stopped the decision of the General Assembly to allow the acceptance of 'partnered' homosexuals as clergy in the Presbyterian denomination.
The bad news: the number of local presbyters who oppose active homosexuals from being accepted as clergy is shrinking. The biblical position still stands but it might be a matter of time before enough local presbyters agree to change the rule (69 of the needed 87 just voted to rescind the rule).
This is really hard to understand. I totally see how the world wants homosexuality be be an accepted lifestyle. But how in the world can ministers come to the place that they no longer care what the clear teaching of the word of God states? Totally crazy world here.

Last year i saw an article on one of the Gaither vocal band members who had after 25 years of marriage divorced his wife and decided he was homosexual. The article named the church he is now attending with his partner. I looked up the church and the doctrine they post. All I can say is OH BOY! because there is no way to describe it.
The entire church congregation is homosexual and the pastor promotes it in the church doctrine, calling it normal and explaines that in the time the Bible was written, it was normal for armies to capture soldiers from other armies and sodomize them as a way to let them know they are defeated. This pastor goes on to try and explain off the fact that the Bible calls it an abomination. it made my eyes water up to think that so many were being lead 180 degrees away from truth.
if you go on line and do a search of Gay Churches. There are gay churches with all denominations on the sign out front. All claim to be Christian. That part makes me angry.
To my mind it is proof the decay of the church is more wide spread than any of us realize.

I just joined the Pastors community about 2 days ago, and the Lord led me to write about this very same issue. It was something that was so secretive back in the days because members of the clergy who were gay stayed in the closet due to strong & courageous men and women of God who took a stand for righteoueness as well as holiness. Nowadays, we have very few warroirs who will look sin right in the face, who will tell the sinner that the sin they're entangled in is going to get them sent to hell if they don't seek deliverance. Messsages of "hey feel good", don't worry be happy, and "God understands sin" is taking the place of a word that needs to say; "Holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. As a newly God appointed Pastor coming from a pentecostal background, I take the same stand against homsexuality & Lesbianism that God does:
1.) It's SIn
2.) It's an "Abomination" in his sight!
3.) It is the act that He hates, not the person, but it will lead you straight to "HELL!"
I truly feel sorry for the individuals being led astray into that abyss of self destruction, but I have no pity for the men or women who call themselves pastoring these people into certain doom! For the word of Go says "Woe" be unto them that scatter the flock & cause the sheep to go astray!

I greet you in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I want to share with you a prophetic message that God spoke to me on Nov. 25th, 2007. The Lord showed me that starting in Jan. 2008 and beyond that there was going to be a great attack launched against the church by the enemy, and that this was where judgement in the house of God was also going to begin. God had grown weary of his people being misused & abused, neglected & rejected, but most of all being fleeced by these wolves in sheeps clothing. They've been trying to disguise themselves under the clergy cloak, but now is the time for them to be exposed for who & what they really are. For years, the enemy has been destroying men & women of God with money, sex and power; but now after exposing & destroying priests with homosexuality & pedephelia, he(satan) has moved into the churches that do not allow the Holy Ghost to be the ruling authority in the house of worship. I began to speak exactly what God had shown & told me, and people began to laugh at me. At that time I was living in Oklahoma, which was supposed to be a part of the "Bible Belt" of America, however this state was in so much depravity that I believe God began His judgement there first. From Jan. to April 2008 I knew of seven pastors that stood up in their pulpits, all at Sunday morning services, and told their congregation: "I'm not pastoring anymore!" They promptly turned and walked right out of the church; never to be seen or heard from again! I've heard of church doors closing, I've witnessed tele-evangelical men & women exposed in stealing money from the church, adultry, having children out of wedlock, drug addictions they've tried to hide for so long, and now the devil has seduced them into proclaiming the lifefstyle of homosexuality & lesbianism. You may have heard about Carlton Pearson, and his doctrine of inclusion, but he too has also come out openly about his gay life. 2nd Thess. 2:7-12 speaks of these things manifesting themselves, and 1st Tim. 4:1 says that the Spirit says expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits & doctrines of devils. Verse 2 talks about the sin filled pastors who are speaking the lies of their gay life as being acceptable in hypocrisy; having their conscience seard with a hot iron. This all is just a part of the last & evil days that we are living in. I want to encourage you great man of God to hold fast to your profession & your faith, let no man allow your crown to be taken from you! Above all, continue to let God reign in your heart of gold, let Jesus live in it & let the Holy Ghost guide your heart as you lead His people!
