 Christians are apt to think that their greatest responsibility is winning souls but there exist a greater responsibility that is christians are to bring this age to an end by bringing in the kingdom of God.Our work is not only winning souls but saving souls.If the purpose of our work is  to save  people  man will be seen as playing a greater role but as the purpose of our work is build up,the body is of christ so we should allow the ministry of the Holy Spirit.God put us in Christ that is call us out of the world to the Church and put Christ in us-the teachings of Christ form christ in us.We should allow the discipline work of the Holy Spirit so that the flow of the gospel can be manifest.There are two kinds of gift God has given to the church that is gift of things e.g healing,miracles,tongues e.t.c. and gift of people to minister,that is to supply christ life to the church. Ministry is nothing less than to supply christ life to the church- spiritual growth and maturity.For the spiritual progress of his church  God makes greater use of life and less use of gifts, for the gifts are for the building up of the church at the nursery stage.Life is found among those who deeply know the cross within and bear it daily.
The first requirement in divine work is a divine call everything hinges on this.It alone recognise God as the originator of the work.To be part of God's work we need to experience the cross and resurrection,for ministry is received in resurrection,that is we need to be overturn by God's authority-broken by God so that God can be fully manifested as christ fully manifested God.God was not restricted by the man Jesus in his earthly ministry so is the church today that the church will fully manifest God -that the will of God will be manifested in us and through us. God invite us to be his fellow-co-worker.The work is of God and is God's work not man's.Man can only be part by a divine call.There is the eternal purpose of God :it cannot be grasped by the mind.It comes by revelation.All spiritual work comes out of revelation and without revelation there is no spiritual work.The message of the cross comes by revelation;God reveal his son in us.We receive the gospel by revelation from Jesus christ.We preach the cross we preach christ and him crucified.Christ death has two but one aspect ;the atonement and the life releasing.The messenger of the cross must have the spirit of the cross worked in him;we must deeply know the cross within and bear it daily,we  should have the mark of Jesus.We present the person to our hearers so we need to recieve the inward knowledge of the Lord;the inward revelation of christ-the inward revelation of God and have communication and communion with God.We need to know the Holy Spirit and the ministry of the Spirit.The communion of the Holy Spirit must be reality to us.                                                                                                                        The Bible is not some collection of devotional articles.It is men performing and living out the word of God.The governing principle through out all of the Bible is the word becoming flesh in us.Consequently it is extremely hard for those who do not know the true meaning of incarnation to understand what the word of God is.
What is God's order It is first to know the Lord then find him in book.But man insist we study the Bible, the reverse.
If the church lack revelation doctrines and tradition will be the order.Doctrines can only produce knowledge but revelation beget more revelations and is life;revelation is life.
The christ we know by revelation gradually becomes the word in us.As we progressively see the reality of christ the word becomes flesh in us;Christ is form in us.Revelation is the basis of all spiritual progress.Revelation brings us to the place of possession-the place of our inheritance:what God has done for us in christ.The holy Spirit gives revelation; The Holy Spirit makes what belongs to christ ours. The Lord Jesus said The Holy Spirit will receive of what is his and make it known to the church.The Holy Spirit has a Ministry;The Holy Spirit makes the New covenant our experience.
The grace of our Lord Jesus christ be with your spirit.
