We've come a long way Baby! I do not want to ever hear the words, "And God Bless America" from the lips of someone that believes this is a good thing for America. God Help us.
Mark
Right there with you Mark. I think we are have crossed the Rubicon of God's judgment.
Me, too, Mark.
I know many will consider this a paranoid statement, but I do believe we are watching the deaththroes of a nation.
Only a "delusional optimism" would engender in hope in light of this proclamation and the burgeoning debt. America is no longer a major economic force in the world. We are a debtor nation. The only reason Chinese is not being taught in our elementary schools (yet) is because of our present military status.
In order to maintain a strong military while carrying such huge debt, taxes must go up . . . and up . . . and up. Already, the government has conscripted nearly half of each American worker's income. Already, there is a majority that gets more government services than they pay in taxes. What's that spell? S-o-c-i-a-l-i-s-m!
America is following the very same pattern we see in the Bible in regard to nation's that ignore God's laws. There is absolutely no reason to believe America will fare any better than any of the other numerous nations that followed the path America is now on.
All the Joel Olsteen sermons in the world can not avert the wrath of God that surely comes upon sin.
That's my cheery message for the day!
